Ted is an upcoming American comedy film, directed, co-written and co-produced by Seth MacFarlane. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and Seth MacFarlane. Filming began in May 2011 in Boston and Swampscott. The movie, which is the feature-length directorial debut for MacFarlane is produced by Media Rights Capital, and will be distributed by Universal Pictures. It is set for a July 13, 2012 release. In March of 2012, the MPAA gave the film an R rating for crude and sexual content, pervasive language, and some drug use.
